RAAD was engaged to revitalize the mechanical systems of a 14-story high-rise residential building at 201 E 69th Street, just blocks from Central Park in New York City's Upper East Side.
The project encompassed a comprehensive upgrade to the domestic hot water system, including the design of new water heaters, expansion tanks, and storage tanks to improve energy efficiency and reliability. Additionally, RAAD provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for replacing a 300-ton forced draft cooling tower serving the residential portion of the building. The project was carefully phased to allow for continuous occupancy during construction, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
