RAAD refurbished three aging cooling towers in a 435-unit mixed-use building in NYC’s financial district, ensuring uninterrupted HVAC service.

The existing cooling towers were near the end of their serviceable life. However, due to the challenge of the location and the need to keep HVAC available for the residential and commercial tenants, a decision was made to refurbish the existing towers in place in lieu of replacing them. This approach ensured uninterrupted HVAC service and extended the life of the cooling towers.

Additionally, RAAD executed the design for the replacement of three storage-type hot water heaters at a 435-unit occupied residential building located on Wall Street in New York City. RAAD implemented a phased approach to the design to minimize disruption to the tenants.
